About this website

My name is Richard Gunther and I am now retired after a lifetime working as a book illustrator. I was born and live in New Zealand and became a Christian at the age of five. I was educated at home and both Christian and public schools so I hope these free resources may be of help to homeschoolers and teachers around the world.

I started illustrating Christian books and publications as a teenager and have never stopped. I have worked on about 400 published books with publishers such as Reed Publications, Wendy Pye Ltd etc.

I am still available as an illustrator at very reasonable rates particularly to help Christians and their ministries.
